Hello! I’m Steve Kroes, founder of Two Redwoods Consulting. After 27 years in nonprofit public policy work, including leading the wonderful Utah Foundation for 16 years, I started my own consulting practice in 2017. I’m back home in the Sacramento, California area, but I’m happily working for clients across the western states.
My passion is to do meaningful, high-quality work in organizations with a public purpose. I am fortunate to have made such a career, largely in the nonprofit sector, since 1990. My strengths lie in public policy analysis, strategic planning, economic analysis, fundraising processes, communications, board development, finance, and community relations. I am committed to open collaboration, thorough communication, critical thinking, and creativity in solving organizational and societal problems.
